Ala Archa is one of the most visited gorges around Bishkek. It attracts many tourists both beginners and experienced trekkers as well. Also it is popular among mountaineers and climbers. This is the most popular place for climbing in ex-soviet countries.
In 30 kilometers south of Bishkek, there is a favorite recreation place for local people and guests of the capital – this is the Alamedin Gorge. Here is located natural health resort "Hot Springs", which got its name due to natural sources.
Among the gorges located near of the capital of Kyrgyzstan, there is one the most beautiful - Kegety gorge. Here is the waterfall about 20 meters high. And Kegety Gorge also hides the more beautiful gift in the upper reaches there is a lake with beautiful turquoise water.
Burana Tower and an ancient settlement are located in 12 kilometers from the city of Tokmak, they are the part of the archaeological and architectural museum and are protected by the state as a first-class monument of cultural heritage.
Belogorka Gorge is in 80 km from the city of Bishkek. The road to the waterfall runs along the river bank and takes 1.5-2 hours on foot. During a fascinating journey, tourists can enjoy the wonderful mountain scenery, get acquainted with the local flora, and admire the carpet of fresh green grass and bright mountain flowers.
Konorchek canyon. There is a fabulous place that is very close to Bishkek, it is located in 135 km from the capital, in the Boom gorge. Konorchek Canyon is also called Eolian castles.
The Chon-Kemin Gorge is located in 150 km east of the city of Bishkek along the road leading to the Shabdan village. The Chon-Kemin and Kichi-Kemin rivers flow along the gorge. The valley of the Chon-Kemin River stretching for 100 km from west to east is very beautiful.
Tamga gorge is the nearest to Tamga Guest House and the most accessible place for hiking and trekking tours. The name of this gorge was given by the stone Tamga-Tash. More than a thousand years ago, Tibetan script was engraved on this stone, and they were perfectly preserved to this day.
Tosor gorge is located in the Terskey Ala-Too ridge on the southern shore of Issyk-Kul lake. Along the gorge goes a road which is connecting Issyk-Kul and Naryn oblasts.
An excursion to the Barskoon gorge starts from the Tamga village. There is a road leading over the pass Barskoon (3754 m) to the highland valley of the Inner and Central Tien Shan called Arabel valley(3800m). The purpose of the excursion is to visit two magnificent waterfalls: "The cup of Manas", "Jump of Snow Leopard". Drive up to Arabel plateau and walk there.
Excursion to the Skazka gorge starts in Tamga village. This is an amazing place where the sandy red formations take get a variety of fabulous shapes.
Walking along the gorge Skazka during the rest on Issyk-Kul gives not only aesthetic pleasure, but also unity with nature.
