Belogorka Gorge

Belogorka Gorge

Belogorka Gorge is in 80 km from the city of Bishkek. The road to the waterfall runs along the river bank and takes 1.5-2 hours on foot. During a fascinating journey, tourists can enjoy the wonderful mountain scenery, get acquainted with the local flora, and admire the carpet of fresh green grass and bright mountain flowers.

We invite to visit the Sokuluk waterfall it is situated in the Sokuluk gorge (which tourists mostly call the Belogorka gorge). From Bishkek you need to get to Tash-Bulak village (translated as Stone Stream) earlier it was called Belogorka.
This is the largest waterfall in the area; its height is more than 60 meters. The waterfall is located at an altitude of 2100 meters above sea level, and there are three smaller waterfalls nearby.

In summer there are many yurts in the gorge. There you can buy and taste a Kyrgyz national drink - koumiss, made from mare's milk.
Before the Sokuluk waterfall there is a gorge Ashutor with a cascading waterfall its height is 100 m. There used to be a road used to haul the flocks of sheep across the mountains.
There is also a route between the Sokuluk and Ala-Archa gorges over the Ozerny pass (3900 m).
It is also very interesting to visit the lateral gorge of Beryulu, divided into several small gorges. In one of them there is a small lake, more like a river spill. And in the second gorge on the river there is a huge natural dam and a small lake of gravel origin, about 60 meters in diameter.
And here you will see one of the most beautiful peaks with the mysterious name "Black Kremlin", 4000 meters high above sea level.
Such beauties protect the gorge of Belogorka where we invite you to travel.
